Maverick Media asked us to create social media assets for the launch of the new version of Pokemon Go Generation 4 mobile  game. 

Using rendered stills from the main video, we created the digital concept for the campaign, designs and animations used for the UK and international market.

We needed to create something fun but with not much happening. The client requested a subtle animation so the parallax effect  was the solution.

Understanding that the campaign needed some wow-factor, we created a short but effective animation that would attract potential customers - online and in public spaces.

Using supplied copy and assets, our idea was to introduce the characters, creating a connection with the customer. The characters would be sitting at a surreal world of ther own, inviting the customer to know more and interact.

The ads would be used in different languages so we needed to have a consistent approach for facilitating the localisation process. 

And as the ads would be formatted to several aspect ratios and dimensions, creating a device for the logo to sit upon was crucial.

Boomerang-style
Instagram Stories

Using clips from the main TVC we were able to create short but effective Instagram Stories content using the Boomerang technique. 

For the characters to fill the vertical screen we needed to do some image/video adjustments around the characters.

Facebook Ads

Lightly branded ads with crucial information - as the ads go on the platform with own copy and cta, these ads introduced each character to the viewer. There were 4 characters that all needed extra image manipulation to fit well the frame. 

The ads were produced for 6 markets in 5 languages.

The client decided to go for static ads as it would go to too many diffent markets and platforms. Lots of image manipulation was needed to fit the characters to the different aspect ratios.
